Build your first complete interactive games.
Game Development Explorers introduces students to the foundations of creating structured, interactive games from start to finish. Learners move beyond simple coding exercises and begin designing complete gameplay experiences with clear objectives, rules, and feedback systems.
Using Scratch and guided development frameworks, students build games that include player controls, collision systems, scoring, timers, health and lives, and win and lose conditions. They explore how mechanics work together to create challenge, fairness, and engagement.
Throughout the course, students learn to plan before building, test their games systematically, and refine their mechanics through iteration. Emphasis is placed on debugging, structured thinking, and improving gameplay balance.
The course concludes with a capstone project where students present a polished, fully playable game to classmates and parents.
