AI Innovations takes students beyond introductions and into deeper, more hands-on machine learning. Learners collect and organize data, train models, test results, and refine performance through iteration. Projects focus on building interactive experiences that respond to real inputs, while helping students understand what makes an AI system work well (or poorly). Students also practice explaining how their model works and explore responsible design choices, including bias and privacy. As part of the course, students get an early taste of text-based coding, with light introductions that help prepare them for Python in future courses.
This course emphasizes experimentation and reflection, helping students see how small changes in data or logic can significantly affect results. Students gain confidence working with increasingly sophisticated systems while still learning in a supportive, guided environment.
